Sean began his career in the Canadian Military Reserves. He received his culinary education from the Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics. From there he began working aboard the HMCS Summerside where he gained valuable training and experience while sailing up and down the East and West coasts of North America. Sean then went on to a locally owned and operated business where he quickly became Sous Chef, Chef, then Executive Chef. In 2014 Sean joined the Leo's Group as Corporate Chef overseeing Leopold's Tavern and Victoria's Tavern. Sean is responsible for menu development and delivery, catering and special events, as well as all aspects of kitchen operations.
Sean’s culinary philosophy is to bring creativity to unfussy comfort food. Growing up in Newfoundland gave Sean an appreciation of regional dishes and local ingredients. He has since lived and cooked in Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, and on BC’s west coast, giving him a broad base of knowledge and experience to draw inspiration from.
